LIBER GENESIS CAPUT XIII, HEBRAICE BERESITH 13

¹ ascendit ergo Abram de Aegypto ipse et uxor eius et omnia quae habebat et Loth cum eo ad australem plagam

And Abram went up out of Egypt, he and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south.

Whereupon also there arose a strife between the herdsmen of Abram and of Lot. And at that time the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled in that country.

Behold, the whole land is before you: depart from me, I pray you: if you will go to the left hand, I will take the right; if you choose the right hand, I will pass to the left.

And Lot, lifting up his eyes, saw all the country about the Jordan, which was watered throughout, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrha, as the paradise of the Lord, and like Egypt as one comes to Segor.

And I will make your seed like the dust of the earth: if anyone can count the dust of the earth, then your seed also shall be numbered.

¹⁸ movens igitur Abram tabernaculum suum venit et habitavit iuxta convallem Mambre quod est in Hebron aedificavitque ibi altare Domino

So Abram moved his tent, came, and dwelt by the vale of Mambre, which is in Hebron: and he built there an altar to the Lord.
